About the event

Joe Lapinski is an interdisciplinary artist who has been performing, writing, and producing music in St. Catharines Ontario Canada for the past 25 years. He is the head producer at WOW! Recording Studio & Creative Music Space, a co-founder of SOUND SOUND Improvised Music Series, and is a co-founder of the In the Soil Arts Festival, all based in St. Catharines Ontario. Joe’s magnificently crafted songs and warm, inviting voice have a tendency to lift us into new inspired spaces that hold beauty and joy.

Makeshift Island 3 is Rebecca Hennessy’s trio that will feature Dave Clark on drums, Michael Herring on bass and Rebecca on piano and trumpet. Rebecca Hennessy is an award-winning trumpeter, singer, composer and bandleader. Rebecca’s original music has sounds that travel through roots, jazz and Americana traditions. Rebecca’s songs deal with grief, healing and joy and is delivered through a warm and clear vocal style that invites us to all connect and be vulnerable together.

Sarah Jerrom is an accomplished vocalist, pianist, composer, and arranger specializing in jazz and

creative music, taking her inspiration from lyric-driven melodies, genre-defying instrumentation and experimental soundscapes. Sarah’s expressive singing, playing and lyrics invite us to search inward and bring light to the parts of ourselves that need to be seen.
